Second high school branch in Central Texas opening soon! Student interns will conduct financial transactions in full-service branch located inside of Connally High School. Grand Opening Celebration will take place in conjunction with school’s Homecoming Game.

Austin, TX – A+ Federal Credit Union (A+FCU) announces its newest addition – the Connally High School (CHS) branch! The 900 sq. ft. CHS branch is the second of its kind in the Central Texas region. The first was A+FCU’s San Marcos High School branch opened in 2008.

The full-service CHS branch, located at 13212 North Lamar Boulevard, will open on August 9, just in time for the 2010-2011 school year. As part of the Credit Union’s internship program, two student interns will staff the branch along with a supervisor from the Pflugerville branch, and will receive school credit for their work. The supervisor will oversee office operations and conduct account opening and loan processes. The new branch will be open to the public.

A+FCU and Pflugerville Independent School District (PISD) will celebrate their strengthening partnership with a branch Grand Opening Event on Friday, September 17, 2010 in conjunction with CHS’s Homecoming football game. There will be a pep rally for the students at 3:45 p.m. and the Grand Opening Celebration will take place at 4:30 p.m. All are welcome! A formal ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place with the Greater Pflugerville Chamber of Commerce on a different date.
