L9 Experiences Significant Tech Achievements in 2011

BARRE, Vermont – January 23, 2012 – L9.com, a CUSO designer and developer of technologies that enable effective usage of the web, reports a fulfilling year in 2011 that was one of many accomplishments. Those accomplishments last year included a select number of new clients, new technologies, client milestones, and awards.

First, L9 welcomed two new clients to its family last year:

Second, L9’s new technology developments in 2011 included site redesign implementations on its current web management system called CUsite. Other tech enhancements consisted of custom web apps, custom mobile sites, and further production of new tools for L9’s forthcoming platform, VOICE (Vision Of Integrated Community Engagement), developed by Level 9 – a member owner of L9.

One of L9’s biggest achievements in 2011 was the cutting edge work performed with Carl Walser, Jamie Bay, and others at Summit Credit Union ($1.6 billion; 121,741 members; Madison, WI) for its new website: www.summitcreditunion.com. The new site offers a unique approach to online web marketing and member interaction for the credit union marketplace by allowing site visitors to engage with each other, the credit union, and its products. Summit’s website utilizes L9's new content and member engagement platform that delivers enterprise-level web and social content management, allowing for nearly unlimited custom application integration.

Another significant accomplishment for L9 in 2011 was its relationship as the web developer for the nation’s first truly virtual credit union, Realtors Federal Credit Union ($79 million; 7,001 members; Rockville, MD). L9 manages the online channel for Realtors FCU, which continues to positively demonstrate the power and true potential of the online channel. Realtors FCU’s record setting pace includes:

  • 2011 #1 Leader in Online Bank Adoption with 100% adoption (creditunions.com)
  • 2011 #1 Leader Organic Membership Growth of 24.57% (creditunions.com)

Other milestones L9 helped its clients reach in 2011:

  • Mayo Employees Federal Credit Union ($491 million; 42,689 members; Rochester, MN) won a 2011 CUNA Diamond Award for Web Marketing in the $250M – $499M asset class. L9 redesigned and built this award-winning site with custom navigation on L9's CUsite web content management system.
  • Hanscom Federal Credit Union ($928 million; 45,141 members; Hanscom AFB, MA) won a Merit Award for Web Marketing in the $500M – $1B asset class. A long-term client of L9, Hanscom FCU's new design and rate comparison tool have set new standards web technologies. The credit union’s site also boasts compelling brand integration.
