Northwest Federal Credit Union Foundation Supports the Children’s Miracle Network

Northwest Federal Credit Union Foundation (NWFCU Foundation) supported the Children’s Miracle Network in the Credit Union Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run® on April 11^th by donating runners, volunteers and $6,500 donated by Northwest Federal Credit Union members and employees.

Gerrianne Burks, President/CEO of NWFCU and Chairman of the NWFCU Foundation Board, Linda Rogus, NWFCU Foundation Executive Director and other NWFCU executive staff presented the $6,500 check to the Children’s Miracle Network. Reigning 2010 Miss America Caressa Cameron, National Goodwill Ambassador for Children’s Miracle Network, was on hand to receive the donation. The NWFCU Foundation was one many credit unions who supported the Children’s Miracle Network by collecting donations and Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run®  race entry fees, raising over $923,000 to directly benefit Childrens hospitals nationwide.

“The Cherry Blossom Run provides credit unions with a real opportunity to make a difference” said Gerrianne Burks. “By demonstrating the credit union cooperative spirit and working together, we can help Childrens hospitals provide care to more than 17 million critically ill children, regardless of their ability to pay.
