Deborah A. Genovesi, APR, is a business strategist who prepares executives to best communicate with their key audiences. Whether its teaching clients to be media-genic so they attract publicity and then dazzle in TV and radio interviews and presentations, or how to best “power up their presence” to advance their careers, Deborah’s clients learn to communicate messages that get heard and move audiences to action.
From Hollywood’s Red Carpet to the board rooms of Fortune 500 companies, Deborah has interviewed & counseled some of the world’s top celebrities & executives during a career spanning two decades as a TV reporter and a nationally-accredited public relations VP.
Her list of celebrity interviews is extensive, including media moguls from Dick Clark to Ice Cube, as well as Pres. Jimmy Carter, CIA Director Leon Panetta and Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. Other notables include Clint Eastwood, Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Bruce Jenner, Ann-Margret, Lucy Liu, Matthew McConaughey, and 100+ others. She also enjoyed working with such renowned authors as Deepak Chopra, Neale Donald Walsch and John Gray. Corporate clients included global brands like General Electric, Sony, Nintendo, Lexus, Disney, and Target.
Deborah’s clients have appeared on programs such as The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Early Show and The Martha Stewart Show and on national and local newscasts and talk shows on CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, CBS, NBC, ABC, and Fox.
Deborah’s frequently quoted in the PR trade press and has appeared as a guest expert at conferences and on radio programs and teleseminars, sharing her expertise with corporate audiences and professional groups such as the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA).
Within the Credit Union world, Deborah has served as a guest panelist for WesCorp Federal Credit Union, and worked with WesCorp on various other marketing initiatives. Deborah’s expertise also has been tapped by the Credit Union industry’s chief government regulator, NCUA.
Additionally, Deborah has been published in numerous professional trade journals and magazines, and is a contributing author to five books, most recently, “Media Magnetism: How to Attract the Favorable Publicity You Want and Deserve” and “Ready, Aim, Captivate” where her interview stands alongside notables like Deepak Chopra.
A magna cum laude graduate of the College of St. Rose in Albany, New York, Deborah earned a bachelor of arts in public communication. She’s also nationally accredited by the Public Relations Society of America.
