Consumers looking for incentives within mobile wallets

Most consumers need incentives to try — and certainly to actively adopt — new technology. Mobile wallet usage is no different. In fact, consumer uptake of mobile payments is expected to increase as loyalty programs make it worth their while.

A recent report from the Federal Reserve Board found 79 percent of mobile users would be interested in using phones to receive deals and discounts. Additionally, 77 percent indicated tying reward points to a mobile payment app would increase the attractiveness of mobile wallets.
