Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all Credit Union marketing communications, including but not limited to online marketing (corporate website, email marketing, as well as social media strategy and implementation).
  • Develops the annual marketing strategy and plan with input from VP, Marketing and Business Development; supports and facilitates the development and implementation of business unit marketing plans.
  • Translates business objectives and strategies into initiatives which facilitate Credit Union growth.
  • Supports and assists with business development and sales efforts across the organization.
  • Leads corporate communications work; ensures projection of a positive corporate image.
  • Directs and manages agencies that produce advertising, public relations materials and marketing collateral.
  • Responsible for partnership marketing plans and implementation; enables the fulfillment of partnership advertising to the Credit Union’s members.
  • Assists in developing departmental budget.  Directs and controls project and departmental expenses.
  • Communicates to board of directors, senior management and staff regarding promotional and marketing programs.
  • Directs external research and reports results to the organization.
  • Performs internal research, analyzes reports from specialized software; analysis of member research to determine market requirements for existing and future products.
  • Manages and coaches marketing staff.  Administers Human Resource concerns such as staffing, training, employee relations and performance.
  • Sets policies within the department.
  • Ensures adherence to company policies and procedures and Banking/Credit Union Regulations.
  • Stays abreast of industry developments including, but not limited to, changes in regulations and technology.
  • Promotes and maintains a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner consistent with professional standards to get along with members, co-workers, management and vendors.
  • Performs additional duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related field(s) strongly preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, math, communication, interpersonal and managerial skills.
  • Ability to foster ideas and develop creative concepts to support marketing initiatives.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in graphic design programs such as Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator a plus.
  • 7-10 years of related experience preferably with a credit union, bank or other financial institution.
  • Social media and ecommerce marketing a plus.
