Information Systems Leader/Sr. Programmer Analyst at Mazuma Credit Union (Kansas City, MO)

Mazuma Credit Union is currently seeking an Information Systems (IS) Team Leader / Senior Programmer Analyst.
Qualified candidates must have experience in system administration, operations, and data base administration as well as systems development and programming. We are looking for a very technical hands-on Team Leader who can also manage projects and interact with senior management.
The Information Systems Team primarily focuses on applications software and the core data processing system while the Information Technology Team primarily focuses on the PC/LAN/WAN infrastructure. The IS Team Leader reports to the Assistant Vice President of Technology. The IS Team includes four programmer analysts in addition to the Team Leader who is also the senior programmer analyst.
This position will be responsible for the operation of the core data processing system for the Credit Union as well as development or acquisition of application software installed within the Credit Union.
The technical environment includes:
- Systems administration (Windows, Linux, AIX)
- Symitar Episys core DP system running on IBM pSeries server under AIX
- Jack Henry Synapsys CRM system
- Synergy Document Imaging System
- Client Server application administration and development
- Intranet development and maintenance
- Windows XP / 7 desktop
- SQL Server
- MS Office Suite
- Project management using Microsoft Project
- Windows 2003/2008 Server
- MS Exchange Server
- LAN/WAN
- Disaster recovery planning and implementation
- Application security including account and user administration
Certifications such as MCSA, MCAD, MCSD, MCDBA would be desirable.
Requirements
- A positive team mindset and attitude.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong customer service focus are needed for this position.
- Must have a strong knowledge of data processing, PC hardware and software, computer systems, programming languages, applications development and systems management.
- A Bachelors degree is required—Computer Science or other IT related degree preferred.
- Five or more years of experience in an Information Technology role with significant programming experience is preferred. Experience with the Symitar Episys core data processing system, including PowerOn programming and Episys / IBM AIX administration is preferred.
- Management, supervision, or team leader experience of three or more persons is preferred.
- Information Technology experience in a financial institution is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Must possess an aptitude for detail and accuracy, show good judgment in decisions, and act on own initiative.
