Des Moines, IA and Madison, WI (November 10, 2011) – Coopera and CUNA today introduced three new training products aimed at helping credit unions better serve the Hispanic immigrant market. The products include two on-demand training courses for credit union staff and one seminar in a box kit to help credit unions host financial educational events for the Hispanic immigrants in their communities.

“The Hispanic community is one of the most underserved groups in the U.S.,” says Miriam De Dios, vice president of Coopera. “For a successful Hispanic outreach strategy, it's essential to first learn as much as possible about the unique experience and needs of this market.”

Becoming familiar with the diverse experiences of Hispanic immigrants is the first step credit unions must to take to better engage with this community. Coopera and CUNA’s Hispanic Immigration Training on Demand is designed to help credit union staff better understand the immigration process and the immigrant experience.

With Alternative Forms of Identification and Documentation Training on Demand, credit union staff learn how to adapt their Customer Identification Program (CIP) to serving an immigrant group. Students are also trained to identify the most common forms of identification and documentation used by Hispanic immigrants, as well as when alternative forms of identification are acceptable.

Coopera and CUNA have also designed a product that puts credit unions at the front of the classroom with the Access to Money with Credit – Spanish Member Seminar Kit. The kit includes everything a credit union needs to plan and execute a member seminar on credit in Spanish. This kit compliments the Basic Steps to Managing your Money – Spanish Member Seminar Kit

I completely agree with the above comment, the internet is with a doubt growing into the most important medium of communication across the globe and its due to sites like this that ideas are spreading so quickly.

My hope is to share the American Dream now that we are well into the 21st century. Not only with everyday American citizens but rather every man, women and child that occupies planet earth. In our short yet explosive time hear on the planet man has evolved many times over thruoghout the centuries.Since the great Ceasar to the magnificent Lincoln from the grate industrial revolution to the race of outter space the one common denominator each preceding generaion delt with was change and absolute change because the people demanded it. Today I believe the biggest change ever needed for man, confronts us today. I remember like it was yesterday when I was a young boy and I would be in school and open my school book and we would learn about new technolegy for the future, they talked about great computers and all kinds of robots and yes even about amazing space travel. When the school day was done I would return home where mom would be preparing dinner and dad was due home shortly from a hard but yet fare and honests days work. Well my friend those text books were only partly right, you see no one and I mean no one had any idea of the extent of the technology boom that would consume the planet from the late 80′s to present day and far out succeded any school books expectations. And with no end in sight for the technology age the sky if indeed the universe is the limit. In 1776 the greatest document ever concieved by man was signed and implented by dozens or even hundreds of great men indeed, it truely revolutionised man kind. The greatness of are for fathers need not be debated on this subject for surley the greatness and the power that exzemplifies u.s throughout the world is attributed directly to them. But even with all there great thinker’s and there endless debates to achieve this historic document they knew there was no way to know what the future held for the great men and women in the u.s yet to come. So with all there great wisdom (even though many were slave owners) they made sure there was one invariable right they set foth for all ….Amendment’s..CHANGE, you see even our great great great grandfathers new then that there document would not be perfect forever. Today as we reach 7 billion people on the planet the number one phrase through out the industrial world is streamline. Words like population growth and steamline don’t mix infact I believe it makes for a very deadly cocktail. So until we convience the tradionalist which makes up about 98% of the population, I do not believe man kind today can make the necessary and absolute changes that need to be made!!! The subject no longer is the left correct or is the right correct, indeed the correct question is are we ready and able for absolute change. The measure of success now has to be based upon this one simple question how is my neighbor doing….NAMASTE my brother.

I'm not sure the could not be much further from the truth is accruate after all, um, the major race of Central and South America is Hispanic and also speak Spanish. Why do we assume that all middle easterners are Muslim? Well, because the majority are. Why when I travel to developing countries does everyone assume because I am American, I am rich? Well its all perspective. I took a class with a Hispanic guy who did speak Spanish although his English was perfect and and there would be no way to guess it except his race. The professor made a comment to such affect, an assumption. The guy said, I don't speak Spanish. And the teacher had a moment of genuine embarrassment before the guy said, Just kidding. They don't mean harm its an innocent generalization and if they realized they were doing it, they'd probably feel bad, so just tell them!

Gillian the point is to be quick, discreet, and efficient with your movements. Upon walking out on stage, sit ASAP while the performers are bowing. Otherwise you hover in an uncertain manner. When they're bowing after, stay seated, again, to avoid unnecessary hovering. When the last performer walks past, get up and follow (like a runt ducking). Bottom line, move with confidence it's the uncertainty that audience members pick up on, and destracts from the overal presentation.
