Madison, Wis. – The National Credit Union Foundation (NCUF) has activated the online disaster relief system CUAid.coop to raise money for credit union people affected by recent tornadoes in the Southern part of the country, hitting Alabama the hardest.

Credit union supporters in every state can now make donations through a secured website that accepts credit cards and wire transfers (www.cuaid.coop). CUAid is the only program of its kind that enables credit union employees, volunteers, and members, as well as credit unions and state credit union foundations across the US, to contribute directly to support other credit union people.

“We encourage credit union leaders all across the country to use CUAid.coop as a channel to collect donations from their employees, volunteers, and members,” said NCUF Executive Director Bucky Sebastian.

As donations are posted through CUAid.coop, NCUF will coordinate with the credit union leagues across the southern part of the country to distribute money efficiently to credit union employees and members in the affected areas.

“CUAid is one of many ways NCUF gives back to the credit union movement to thank donors for all their generosity,” Sebastian concluded.

CUAid was developed by NCUF in cooperation with state credit union foundations, state credit union leagues, and the Credit Union National Association’s Disaster Preparedness Committee in 2006.

The secure online tool links the entire credit union system to raise money for disaster relief, most recently after the earthquakes in Haiti early last year.

Organizations and individuals can use a variety of CUAid web buttons for their website. Please click here for the easily linkable buttons. Click here for a direct link to the donation form.

Safe Auto is high risk insurance, that is the reason they state they don’t check credit, since most people who buy it, cant buy from a big name auto insurance company due to their credit, driving record of tickets, or multiple accidents in the past. Your best bet is to get multiple quotes from at least 3 companies. I suggest you call a agent and discuss and they will give you their suggestions. Also, with any high risk auto, most only have minimum limits only, so if you have any assets, you need more than the minimum to protect you. As a general rule, any accidents/tickets etc will stay on your record for 3 years and if as you state you driving record is good, I suggest you try some of the other companies even with bad credit, since the rates they will charge will most likely be cheaper than Safe Auto.good luck
