MADISON, Wis. (August 9, 2011) — Credit Union National Association (CUNA) is pleased to announce that graphics and coloring pages for International Credit Union (ICU) Day® 2011 are now ready for download from CUNA’s website.

The free artwork, available at cuna.org/icuday, includes two coloring pages, as both jpegs and pdfs. The “world” coloring page uses the ICU Day logo of homes encircling Earth and this year’s slogan, “Credit Unions Build a Better World.”  The “members” coloring page features this year’s slogan above a depiction of members eagerly waiting to enter through a credit union’s glass doors.

CUNA’s ICU Day website also links to a free demo of Credit Union Copy and Art Express™.  This site provides a free, high-resolution poster art (prints up to 8 ½” X 11”) and two free ICU Day website graphics, which credit unions can use to link ICU Day celebration messages on their own websites.  In addition, credit unions can modify the free ICU Day articles and press releases.

For questions about ICU Day, please email icuday@cuna.coop or contact Joanne Sepich at (800) 356-9655, ext. 4867 or jsepich@cuna.coop.

Yes and no…Some credit cards have RFID (radio frequency identification) chips embedded in them. An example of this are AMEX Blue or “Paypass” enabled cards. With the right equipment, an individual could “interrogate” the card, and the card would send it an encrypted string. The “hacker” would need to know how to decrypt that data to get your card number. It’s possible, but there is not a huge risk (besides, you can only be liable for up to $50 in fraudulent charges by law, but most cards advertise zero liability). If you are still concerned, get an RFID blocking wallet ().
