WASHINGTON – NAFCU is providing attendees of its 44th Annual Conference & Exhibition with an incentive to join the conversation about the meeting on Twitter. The association is offering free registration to next year’s annual conference to the attendee who tweets the most about this year’s event, which runs through Saturday in San Francisco.

Attendees are encouraged to use the hashtag #nafcuannual<http://twitter.com/#!/search?q=%23nafcuannual> when tweeting about the conference. Those interested in participating in the contest can also follow NAFCU on Twitter @NAFCU<http://www.twitter.com/nafcu>.

The contest will continue through Friday, July 1. The attendee with the most tweets containing the #nafcuannual<http://twitter.com/#!/search?q=%23nafcuannual> hashtag during the contest will win free registration to NAFCU’s 45th Annual Conference & Exhibition in Nashville, July 24-28, 2012. The winner will be announced on NAFCU’s twitter page after the conference’s conclusion on July 2.

Attendees of NAFCU’s 44th Annual Conference & Exhibition who are currently credit union volunteers or employees are eligible to win.

NAFCU is the only national organization of credit unions that focuses exclusively on federal issues affecting credit unions, representing its members before the federal government and the public.

How to you cntrool who can contribute tweets to a meeting? What if every restaurant, bar and sightseeing company in the city wants to tweet out specials to delegates? A few tweets might be welcome, hundreds of tweets soliciting businesses would be a challenge.
