WASHINGTON – NAFCU is posing the question “Who Wants to Be Compliant?” to credit unions this week in a new video that showcases the NAFCU regulatory compliance team’s expertise and accessibility.

The video, dovetailing on the popularity of game shows today, features a contestant who chooses to “phone a friend” – NAFCU Director of Regulatory Compliance Steve Van Beek – when asked a question about Regulation E.

“Compliance challenges can be overwhelming and even daunting,” said NAFCU President Fred Becker. “We wanted to take a fun approach to spotlighting our compliance team’s acumen while emphasizing that working with NAFCU makes facing these compliance burdens more manageable, and helps credit unions meet them more successfully.”

“Ultimately, our compliance team is a unique and invaluable asset that NAFCU offers to its members,” Becker added.

The video can be viewed at www.nafcu.org/compliance.

NAFCU is the only national organization that focuses exclusively on federal issues affecting credit unions, representing its members before the federal government and the public.
