MADISON, Wis. —Successful credit unions strive to deliver great service to their members both efficiently and accurately, and automation enables more efficient, more accurate and more consistent processing. Automating IT operations and the data center are two of the few remaining areas where credit unions can distinguish themselves from their competition and improve the overall member experience.

The latest white paper from the CUNA Technology Council, “Automating the Enterprise: IT Operations and the Data Center – The Last Frontier of Enterprise Automation” is based on information and experiences gathered from Data Center Managers, Operations Managers and CIOs/CTOs from around the world, including many from the credit union industry.

The paper, by Neville Kroeger, discusses the costs and the benefits of implementing automation in general. It also identifies a few typical barriers to the adoption of automation, describes the evolution of automated management tools, and offers authentic examples of forward-thinking organizations effectively implementing automation in their data centers (along with the benefits achieved from their investment).

CUNA Council members are entitled to complimentary copies of these and more than 300 white papers; non-members may purchase the white papers for a price of $50 per copy.

The paper is available online in the white paper section of www.cunacouncils.org – select the “Tech” tab.

You’re absolutely right Keith when it comes to earning money. It doesn’t help me earn money, but I think my problem is that I don’t have a strategy to help me earn money. What I do online is more or less learning and building relationships, and not business in the sense of earning money.I need to take the next step sooner or later (hopefully sooner). I’m meeting so many awesome people online every single day, and I believe that when I finally understand what I want to be doing online in order to earn money, I hope they’ll stick with me.The reason why I haven’t been really focused on the business part of my blog and what I do online, is because I am writing a novel. And I want to finish it before I start a business. And at the moment, I have no idea what type of business I’m going to start, but I’ll hopefully get some great advice when I start focusing on it.Jens P. Berget recently wrote..

Hey Keith, I use a little automation on my Twitter but not loving it really. Actually I decide the same way if I will follow someone. I changed my Triberr strategy a lot lately (link at the bottom) and now not only am I actually tweeting only posts I read, I am removing many as well. Although sent through the automated tool, those tweets are actually about posts I read and liked. I try to edit the tweet as well, to make sure people know I am really recommending it. As far as Tweet Old Post that is the second auto tool I use because I never tweet my own posts. I will send a few tweets when it is first posted and then I will forget to send any for weeks and weeks. TOP keeps my posts in my stream, helps me a lot.But bottom line I am all about conversations on Twitter and when I see people with 30-50.000 followers tweeting something and getting 3 clicks I feel sorry for them.Brankica recently wrote..

We need a change. These epsernt numb skulls including Diane Watts are just too comfortable and have begun to care corporate and lining their pockets. While they go laughing to the bank end of each pay cheque they make us tighten our pockets and levy further taxes. The Trans-link forceful levy and the 2 cent gas tax is a joke. While we pay these jokers in office burden us with their transport expenses. The long timers warming our city hall chairs are too complacent and have become as dumb as the City Hall door knob. Linda, Marvin,Barbara, Mary,Tom and Barinder have become totally useless to our needs. They seem to have the media support on front pages to etch onto peoples minds to influence voters votes. The community papers The Now and The Leader are also culprits to influence results.Hope to see the change and have new Candidates as Stephanie and Paul Hillsdon and younger blood.Cheers and good luck.
