Align Credit Union supports the Habitat for Humanity

LOWELL, MA (June 25, 2014) — Align Credit Union’s female employees proudly supported the Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build Week in Lowell, MA

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell is a non-profit working towards eliminating poverty housing and homelessness by building and rehabbing simple, decent homes with the help of the homeowner and volunteers.  Families in need of decent shelter need apply and be committed to volunteering 400 hours of labor on their homes or other projects.  Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell builds homes in Bedford, Billerica, Burlington, Carlisle, Chelmsford, Concord, Dracut, Dunstable, Lowell, Reading, Tewksbury, Tyngsboro, Wakefield, Westford and Wilmington.  In this area, the cost of building a home averages between $130,000 and $650,000.  The success of Habitat for Humanity is predicated on the strength of its volunteers and donations.  The goal of Women Build Week is to empower women to take action against poverty housing conditions in Greater Lowell by raising funds and building together to make a family’s dream of home ownership a reality.

“The women of Align Credit Union are strong ambassadors.  Building a home connects them to the communities and the residents they serve.  We are pleased to support the Habitat for Humanity.  This amazing organization is making shelter a matter of action.  By harnessing the sweat equity of volunteers and the generous donations of companies, Habitat for Humanity will provide a home for a deserving family in need,” said Align President and CEO Ken Del Rossi. “Align is proud to be involved with such an amazing organization.  And, we will continue to do so by donating $25 to Habitat for Humanity for every mortgage that we close.”
