Bayou Fest

TEXAS CITY, TX (October 30, 2014) — On Saturday, October 18, 2014, AMOCO sponsored over 20 small business booths and a fireworks show at Bayou Fest held in La Marque, TX.

Bayou Fest is an annual community event that provides various entertainment and activities including: car shows, fishing tournaments, craft booths, cook-offs and a concert.  For the first time, AMOCO participated in this year’s festivities by sponsoring their annual Small Business Expo at Bayou Fest.  AMOCO members with small businesses have the opportunity to showcase their products and services to the public. Typically the expo is held during AMOCO’s Annual Meeting, but switching the location exposed the small business owners to a broader audience.  This year, AMOCO funded over 20 business booths.  To make sure the night ended with a bang, AMOCO sponsored the fireworks show to conclude Bayou Fest.
As a community business, AMOCO is a strong advocate for supporting local businesses.  By sponsoring the vendors at events such as Bayou Fest, AMOCO gives their members with small businesses an opportunity to expand their customer base and to thrive in the competitive market.
