ROANOKE, VA (June 19, 2015) – Blue Eagle® Credit Union announces the addition of not one, but two new office locations – one in Roanoke, Virginia and the other in Lynchburg, Virginia. The new Roanoke location will be in the North Market Shopping Center, at the corner of Peters Creek Rd and Williamson Rd, where the credit union currently operates a full-service ATM kiosk. The additional Lynchburg office will be in the new Cornerstone development on Greenview Drive.

Why two at the same time? CEO, Jeff Thompson explains “We have significant membership base in both of these areas. Blue Eagle® Credit Union has always been financially strong, and we’ve strategically positioned our credit union to take advantage of opportunity when it presents itself. Both markets represent growth opportunities for the credit union.”

Additionally, Thompson shares, “We made the decision a few years ago to be completely consumer focused. We love being a part of our members’ stories and a trusted financial partner. Our passion and promise is to enrich members’ lives by helping them reach a better financial position. Education plays a big part in achieving the next financial goal. Technology allows us to be more convenient with services like our mobile app and remote deposit. These new offices allow us more access points and opportunities to positively impact our community, one member at a time.”

The credit union anticipates opening the North Market Roanoke office in late Fall 2015, and the Cornerstone Lynchburg office in early Summer 2016. The Cornerstone office will be the first ‘ground up’ branch for the credit union.
