Catholic Federal Credit Union staff “Denim Day” fundraiser

SAGINAW, MI (August 29, 2014) — In the month of August Catholic Federal Credit Union employees were given the opportunity to participate in two Jean Day fundraisers. This allows staff to wear blue jeans with CFCU logo wear or themed shirts for a $3 donation.

The first Jean Day CFCU employees raised $100 for Emmaus House of Saginaw. Emmaus House of Saginaw is a home for women coming from difficult situations such as rehab, jail or prison. Emmaus House provides a place to start fresh in a Christian family-like atmosphere. Women are able to stay as long as it takes for them to feel comfortable living on their own. “We were happy to give to such a worthy charity upon the recommendation of a staff member who holds this organization near their heart.” stated Debbie Weisenberger, CFCU Member Contact Center Representative.

Later in the month CFCU employees combined their spirit of giving with their school spirit by wearing their high school colors with their blue jeans. All funds raised from this Jean Day were deposited into our Good Neighbor fund that will be dispersed to local charities throughout the rest of the year.

CFCU employees have already raised over $2,000 in 2014 for different charities and reputable organizations.

Catholic Federal Credit Union is a full service financial institution offering loans, savings accounts and checking accounts. The credit union has locations in Bay City, Essexville, Saginaw and Vassar in Michigan.
