CommonWealth One continues long sponsorship of Credit Union Cherry Blossom Run

ALEXANDRIA, VA (March 27, 2015) — CommonWealth One Federal Credit Union will once again be a sponsor of the Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10 Mile Run. Proceeds from the event support 170 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, which help treat millions of children in the U.S. and Canada. A third of the proceeds support Washington, DC’s Children’s National Medical Center (“Children’s Hospital”).

“Our on-going support of this highly successful fund raiser is part of our commitment to be a vital contributor to the welfare of the communities we serve,” says Charlotte Cash, President/CEO of CommonWealth One. Credit unions work together every year to support the Credit Union Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run and continually work hard to support their communities.

“This commitment to be active participants in our communities’ success is in our DNA, and highlights a distinction that separates credit unions from other financial institutions,” she added. Members are proud that their financial institution sponsors this annual run, she noted.
