Credit Union Trailblazers Recognized by Credit Union Times
WASHINGTON, D.C. (February 27, 2013) – Credit Union Times, a Summit Business Media publication, named its 2013 Trailblazer Award winners during its 8th annual Trailblazer Awards reception at Credit Union National Association’s Governmental Affairs Conference in Washington, DC. This year’s winners were honored at a reception held February 26, which was attended by hundreds of credit union professionals.
“Credit Union Times is very proud to honor our 2013 Trailblazer Awards winners,” said Publisher/Editor-in-Chief Sarah Snell Cooke. “Right now is a very dynamic time for the credit union community. Credit unions’ market share has grown to 8.8% of consumer lending. As the industry recovers from the most recent economic crisis, it is particularly important that we recognize the leaders of the credit union community who have played a large role in making credit unions such a force in meeting the financial services needs of so many Americans.”
Unbiased and open to all credit union professionals and volunteers, the Trailblazer Awards showcase the best of the credit union industry in eight different categories. The 2013 Trailblazer Awards winners are:
- CEO of the Year: Joseph Brancucci, GTE Financial
- CFO of the Year: Scott Waite, Patelco CU
- Volunteer of the Year: Carroll Beach, Elevations CU
- IT Executive of the Year: Chad Graves, Ent FCU, sponsored by Symitar
- Marketing Executive of the Year: Kristen Mashburn, Listerhill CU, sponsored by Eloquent Online
- Lending Officer of the Year: Dona Svehla, Grow Financial CU
- Outstanding Political Action: Commodore Perry FCU
- Service to the Underserved: Shreveport FCU
Winners were presented with an engraved trophy at the awards ceremony February 26th. CO-OP Financial Services sponsored the main event.
