CU24 University gives credit unions cost-effective, robust compliance training

TALLAHASSEE, FL (February 25, 2014) —  CU24, a provider of network services for credit unions nationwide, is pleased to announce the launch of CU24 University, a comprehensive compliance-training program for its credit union partners.

CU24 University will provide credit unions cost-effective, online training that will enable them to meet stringent NCUA regulatory requirements. Licensed from FIS, the world’s largest provider of financial services technology, CU24 University will offer the nation’s premier enterprise-wide regulatory compliance e-learning solution. It is comprised of a comprehensive library of courses and a robust learning management system that is used by hundreds of financial institutions of all asset sizes and charter types nationwide. It is also used by regulatory agencies to train their own examiners.

Traditional compliance training programs require scheduling, travel, expense, and other hassles. CU24 University, however, provides access to a library of more than 260 courses that include in-depth training for board members, all levels of management, and all credit union employees.  Additionally, the solution provides detailed tracking, analytics and dashboard reporting as part of the learning management system.  Customized or job-specific curriculum content is also available.

CU24 University will be continually updated, meaning the curriculum will always be current for credit union managers and their employees, keeping them ahead of the regulatory curve. Other benefits include engaging, interactive study modules, user-friendly Web interfaces, self-paced courses, role-based examples, and course certificates upon completion.

The program, which is much less expensive and far more cost-effective than traditional training, is offered on a tiered pricing model based on the size of the credit union. For one annual license fee, a credit union can use the training for as many courses and as many people as it wants.

“Today, more than ever, credit union employees must be well trained and prepared to execute their duties so that credit unions can provide maximum value to their members,” says Mansel Guerry, President and CEO of CU24. “The challenge to credit unions is to find the time to schedule effective training with minimal interruption to member service. CU24 University provides the answer with timely, effective training, and minimal member service interruption.”

“CU24 University offers the best-in-class compliance training solution that helps credit unions meet all NCUA requirements, adds Kim Cromer, Vice President of Product Management for CU24, “In fact, CU24 University offers the same course content that regulatory agencies use to train their examiners.

“With all the regulations that come up throughout the year, it’s nice to offer a solution to our credit unions that can help them keep up,” says Cromer. “This solution also helps credit unions that do not have the time or resources to create their own training programs. And of course there are tremendous savings when you don’t have to send employees to off-site training courses that are limited in scope and flexibility. Also, the solution provides detailed tracking, analytics, and dashboard reporting to satisfy the credit union examiners during a safety and soundness or compliance examination.”
