Cummins Allison announces new 17-pocket and fitness capable configuration for the JetScan iFX® i400 multi-pocket currency sorter
MT. PROSPECT, IL (September 30, 2014) — Cummins Allison, the leading innovator and provider of coin, currency, check handling solutions and ATMs, today announced new capabilities of its JetScan iFX i400 multi-pocket currency scanner and sorter, making it the most advanced currency sorter of its kind.
The JetScan iFX i400 multi-pocket sorter can now be configured with three to 17 pockets, all in a footprint 54% smaller than a comparable competitive system. Having 17 pockets fosters greater productivity for currency processing, allowing operators to separate mixed denominations, as well as face and orient bills.
Counting mixed denominations at 1,000 bills per minute, the JetScan iFX i400 can also sort for fitness, checking for and recognizing soil, holes, dog-ears, tears, missing parts, and tape. Fitness sorting is important to financial institutions and cash-in-transit companies that process large volumes of currency and want to redistribute fit bills for ATMs or cash orders.
