evolve FCU | Social Purpose community outreach event Kids Day at the Zoo 2022

HARRISBURG, PA (September 27, 2022) — evolve FCU hosted its annual Kids Day at the Zoo event on Saturday, September 24, 2022, where local children’s organizations from the community were invited to spend the day at the El Paso Zoo. Organizations included were Make-A-Wish North Texas, Child Crisis Center, Big Brothers Big Sisters of El Paso, Center Against Sexual & Family Violence, Children’s Miracle Network, Lee & Beulah Moor Children’s Home and Candlelighters. The event featured free food for everyone, face painting for the kids and all-day access to the zoo full of animal shows and fun.

Throughout the year evolve helps local children’s organizations through quarterly events. This includes fundraisers, donation events, fun events at such as the El Paso Zoo, movie theater showings or sporting events. evolve FCU’s upcoming event will take place in December. For the 3^rd year in a row, it will host, ‘A Shoe Story,’ in partnership with Academy Sports & Outdoors West El Paso. The credit union will donate hundreds of shoes to children from these organizations.

evolve FCU recently spoke to Enrique Davila, Director at the Child Crisis Center who said, “The Social Purpose allows the children to see the community supports them, through the circumstances they are going through that they are not alone. There is a community supporting them through events like this and they don’t have to worry about anything, and it gives them the chance to be children again.”
