WASHINGTON – Attendance at NAFCU’s 44th Annual Conference & Exhibition in San Francisco, June 28 – July 2, will be the best since 2007, when the association held its conference in Hawaii—a location that has always drawn record numbers.
“We’re on track to have more credit union leaders in San Francisco than we had in Chicago (2010), Washington (2009) or San Diego (2008),” said NAFCU Chief Operating Officer Anthony Demangone. “In fact, this has been an incredible year for all of our conferences—with all-time attendance records at both Volunteers Conference and Regulatory Compliance School.”
Demangone attributed the tremendous attendance to a continuing recovery in the credit union meeting space and renewed interest in compliance and operations content. “But, mostly, I attribute our success to NAFCU’s focus on providing credit unions with the best education for their dollars. By far, NAFCU’s events stack up as being the best all-around value for credit unions.”
Demangone said that over 1,700 delegates, guests, exhibitors and speakers have been signed up for the five-day event that includes everything from national keynote addresses, timely breakout sessions, numerous networking events, entertainment and the industry’s leading exhibition hall.
Attendees who use twitter are encouraged to use the hashtag #nafcuannual when tweeting about the conference. Follow NAFCU on twitter @NAFCU.
Conference registration is available to NAFCU members and nonmembers. To register, visit www.nafcu-annual.org or call 1-800-344-5580.
NAFCU is the only national organization of credit unions that focuses exclusively on federal issues affecting credit unions, representing its members before the federal government and the public.
