Greater TEXAS Federal Credit Union staff wear sneakers in support of Back on My Feet

AUSTIN, TX (November 26, 2014) — Greater TEXAS Federal Credit Union (GTFCU) raised $450 to support the non-profit Back on My Feet (BoMF) by participating in Sneaker Week on November 20 and 21, 2014.   This is the third year that the credit union has supported Back on My Feet. BoMF is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating independence and self-sufficiency within the homeless and other underserved populations by first engaging them in running as a means to build confidence, strength and self-esteem.

After launching in Philadelphia in July 2007, Back on My Feet has expanded to Baltimore, Washington D.C., Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Indianapolis, Atlanta, New York City and Austin! The organization has grown to a staff of 40+ professionals with thousands of volunteers and hundreds of Members.  See website below for additional information about this organization.

November 17-21, was National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week. In 2013, more than 500 companies and offices participated in Sneaker Week. http://www.backonmyfeet.org
