Members 1st Federal Credit Union announces new SVP/CLO
Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania – Members 1st Federal Credit Union (Members 1st) is pleased to announce the selection of Karen Christian as the credit union’s new Senior Vice President/Chief Lending Officer.
“We are excited to have Karen take on the role of Senior Vice President/Chief Lending Officer,” said Kevin Lee, EVP Operations. “Karen brings extensive lending experience and knowledge to Members 1st that will continue the growth and success of the credit union.”
Karen Christian last served as the Senior Vice President, Lending at NASA Federal Credit Union located in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. During her tenure, Karen increased the loan portfolio and led the conversions of the credit card processors and loan origination systems. She also played a vital role in the development of new lending products and actively participated in numerous committees.
Karen has over 14 years of experience in the credit union industry. Prior to her time at NASA FCU, she served as the Director, Credit Policy and Risk for Pentagon Federal Credit Union in Alexandria, Virginia and also as the Senior Vice President, Lending for Golden 1 Credit Union in Sacramento, California. Karen holds a Bachelor of Science in Business and a Master of Business Administration from University of Maryland University College.
