Over 6,500 middle school students receive backpacks and supplies through Educational Systems Federal Credit Union’s partnership with local public schools

GREENBELT, MD (September 19, 2014) – Educational Systems Federal Credit Union began delivering backpacks filled with school supplies earlier this month to more than 6,500 middle school students at more than 30 schools and student service offices throughout the seven school systems it serves through its Backpacks for Middle Schoolers program.

“Middle school is a critical point in a student’s development,” said Principal DeMarco Clark of Thurgood Marshall Middle School, in Prince George’s County. “Educational Systems Federal Credit Union’s generous donation and ongoing commitment to the education community is helping to make that transition point easier for a lot of students.”
