Park View Federal Credit Union observes Veteran’s Day with 325 hours of service to the community

HARRISONBURG, VA (November 13, 2014) — Park View Federal Credit Union lived out its heritage of “Neighbors Serving Neighbors” by observing Veteran’s Day in active service to the community. PVFCU hosted a Community Connection service day on November 11 to show their appreciation to many who have served the community, country and world.

PVFCU employees, along with employees from some member businesses served a total of 325 hours together around the community. Volunteers helped with tasks such as fall yard and garden work, sorting donations and books, food preparation, maintenance projects, painting, cleaning, assisting with classroom preparation, and wood splitting.

Volunteers served at the following locations: Gift & Thrift, Our Community Place, Harrisonburg-Rockingham Free Clinic, Highland Retreat, Family Life Resource Center, Eastern Mennonite School, First Step, Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community, Tried and True, Community Preschool, and Patchwork Pantry.
