Wescom Resources Group announces next generation of TellergyTM Software for the Verifone MX 925

The teller automation software now supports Verifone’s market-leading payment terminal solution with new features such as member PIN authentication

PASADENA, CA (February 10, 2015) —  Wescom Resources Group (WRG), a provider of software and technology service solutions for credit unions, launched the next generation of TellergyTM last week, which now operates on Verifone’s multimedia-capable MX 925 payment terminal solution. Tellergy is an automation system that enhances member interactions at the branch teller line by supporting key processes such as account identification and lookup, authentication, transaction confirmation, and signature capture.   The product is now live at select branches of Wescom Credit Union.

“We are very excited about this next generation of Tellergy.  It incorporates enhancements derived from front-line feedback we received for over a year from previous deployments.  With those refinements, this new release is ideally suited for the demands of its retail setting,” states WRG President Tim Dolan. “Moving to the MX 925 is a game-changer, as its’ PCI compliance enables secure entry of ATM/debit card PIN’s, which became the natural next step we have now productized.  Plus, the durability of the MX 925 as well as its multimedia capabilities, which will allow us to engage members with informative and promotional content, makes for a significant long-term value.”

Verifone is the leading provider of “best in class” payment solutions and services that meet or exceed global security standards. The MX 925 provides organizations the ultimate in payment security, offering PCI 4.0 certification, and integrated EMV and NFC transaction capabilities.

Tellergy for Verifone communicates with WRG’s Host Security Module that securely stores encryption keys needed to support PIN entry.  This is combined with Tellergy’s wide array of existing features that includes account identification and lookup, authentication, transaction confirmation, and signature capture.   Furthermore, Tellergy provides integration to host-system forms that tie directly into the credit union’s core processing system.

When Tellergy was first envisioned, it was believed that the solution would deliver on many cost-saving, service-enhancing features, such as support for card swipes, electronic receipts, authentication, and the ability to offer marketing cross-sale offers.  That vision is now a reality, according to Dolan.  But, he states, there are intangible benefits as well.  “In today’s retail marketplace, consumers expect the crisp, vivid multimedia screens offered by the MX 925.  It bespeaks of a level of image and quality that is difficult to match with legacy LCD terminal devices.  We believe that Tellergy combined with a secure, market-leading multimedia platform becomes the perfect one-two punch for exceptional service and quality at the teller line.”
