3 reasons you should visit your credit union

As technology has progressed over the years, it’s hardly necessary to actually walk into your credit union for normal banking activities. You can deposit checks, check your balances, send money, and a lot more, all using that tiny computer in your front pocket (I’m talking about your smartphone). If you’re looking for a good excuse to visit the friendly faces at your credit union, here are three reasons you should still stop by your local branch…

You need a mortgage: It seems like there are a billion options for getting a mortgage, but don’t forget about your credit union. You’re obviously looking for the best deal you can find, and talking to the people you trust with your finances seems like a great place to start.

You need an auto loan: While it might seem easy to just deal with financing your new ride at the dealership, getting pre-approved at your credit union is probably your best bet. Credit unions offer great rates on loans and you won’t be enticed by the dealership’s financing offer if you walk in pre-approved by your credit union.

You need a cashier’s check: Whatever the reason for needing a cashier’s check, unfortunately you can’t print one off at home (yet). But your credit union can definitely help you with that, if you’ll simply drop by tell them what you need.
