5 things that spur organizational success

I hear this often, but it can’t be said enough: A key to our success as leaders is spurring on and encouraging our teams toward success – their own success and, by extension, the success of our organizations.

As a leader, you must remember that when you say “good job” or “thank you” it’s magnified. If an employee deserves praise, say it. Often. Seriously, you must communicate, over-communicate and clearly communicate.

A recent Inc.com post by Peter Economy focuses on how leaders can best “unlock the energy” in their organizations to get things done and achieve success. He highlights five habits in particular:

  1. Energize. As the leader, you’re the source of energy for your organization, so bring that energy to everything you do.
