Evergreen Credit Union
Evergreen Credit Union has proudly served those who live, work, attend school or own a business in Southern Maine for over 70 years. The credit union was founded in 1951 as the S.D. Warren Credit Union located in Westbrook, ME, where the organization served the employees and families associated with the S.D. Warren Paper Mill. As it grew and membership expanded, the name was changed in 1999 to Evergreen Credit Union. To accommodate further growth, Evergreen built and moved into a new corporate offices at 225 Riverside Street on the western edge of Portland, one mile from the founding site at the mill. By 2022, expansion had opened services in York, Oxford, Androscoggin, Sagadahoc, and Lincoln counties, making the total membership area 6 Maine counties. In 2024, Evergreen opened the fifth branch in Scarborough to better serve members in southern Maine. ...
