The Credit Union was housed in the Florida Electric Cooperatives Association, Inc., (FECA) building in Tallahassee and served as a supported entity of the Associations member services.

In January 1999 the Credit Union Board of Directors moved the Credit Union to a totally self-supporting entity separate from the FECA umbrella.
Today, the credit union remains in the FECA building and has held to its founding membership base the Rural Electric Cooperatives. The Credit Union serves 15 active cooperatives and two power generating stations. Together these cooperatives service members in 52 of Florida's 67 counties.
The Credit Union is a full service financial institution, whose member shares are insured by the NCUA (National Credit Union Administration), a government agency for up to $250,000 each. For more information visit www.frecu.org.
