APL Federal Credit Union, officially chartered in 1954, was formed to serve the financial needs of The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (JHU/APL) employees. Today, with over $456 million in assets and 22,000 plus members, they have been able to open membership to all those who live, work, conduct business, or attend school in Howard County.
