Valley Oak Credit Union

Established in 1944 by a local co-op grocer, George Burcham, in idyllic Three Rivers, California, Valley Oak Credit Union was established to serve the agricultural workers of Tulare County and its communities. Valley Oak Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial cooperative run for the benefits of those who are member-owners of the Credit Union. Any person who lives, works, worships, or attends school in Tulare and Madera Counties qualifies for membership with Valley Oak. They also serve thousands of employees who work for their Select Employee Groups within the two counties. As of December 2025, the Credit Union had approximately $82.7M in assets with approximately 6,000 members.
