Canvas Foundation supports Colorado families with $20,000 gift to Feeding Colorado

Lone Tree, CO (November 20, 2025) |

Canvas Foundation, the charitable arm of Canvas Credit Union, has donated $20,000 to Feeding Colorado to support families facing food insecurity due to delays in federal food assistance programs.

Feeding Colorado is the statewide nonprofit network that supports Colorado’s five major food banks: Care and Share Food Bank for Southern Colorado, Food Bank for Larimer County, Food Bank of the Rockies, Community Food Share and Weld Food Bank. The mission of Feeding Colorado is to improve food insecurity through statewide partnership, education, policy and advocacy.

“The generous contribution from the Canvas Foundation allows our network of five food banks and nearly 1,100 hunger relief partners to support our neighbors in need. With our collective purchasing power, every $1 donated provides $6 in nutritious food to families across Colorado.” said Mandy Pullaro Nuku, Executive Director of Feeding Colorado.

“This donation reflects our commitment to helping Colorado families during challenging times,” said Steve Ferrero, Chief Community Engagement Officer at Canvas Credit Union. “Even as government support programs resume, many households continue to experience gaps in assistance. Feeding Colorado ensures that families have access to the groceries they need, and we are proud to partner with them to make a real difference in our communities.”

Canvas Credit Union joins a coalition of 12 Colorado credit unions in stepping up to address food insecurity. With a combined donation total of $220,000, the coalition demonstrates the cooperative spirit and shared values that define the credit union movement.
