FRESNO, CA (March 10, 2026) |
Educational Employees Credit Union (EECU) proudly sponsored the 13th Annual Latino Student Success Conference hosted by Clovis Unified School District on March 9 at Fresno Pacific University. The event brought together students, educators, and community leaders for a day focused on inspiring Latino students to pursue college and career opportunities beyond high school.
EECU has supported the conference for several years, helping provide resources and opportunities that encourage students to pursue their academic and professional goals. This year’s conference welcomed approximately 1,000 students from across the district for a morning of mentoring, college and career exploration, and motivational speakers.
As part of its support, EECU Community Relations Officer Valeria Garcia participated as a mentor during the conference, sharing insights with students about career pathways, goal setting, and the importance of financial literacy and education.
“It was inspiring to connect with students and hear about their goals,” she said. “Events like this remind students that their dreams are achievable and that there are people in their community who want to support them along the way.”
During the conference, students participated in mentorship sessions and a college and career fair designed to introduce them to a range of educational and professional opportunities. The event also included student entertainment, lunch, and opportunities for students to further connect with mentors.
“EECU is proud to support programs that empower students and help them see what’s possible for their futures,” said Elizabeth J. Dooley, EECU president and CEO. “Clovis Unified’s Latino Student Success Conference creates important connections for students and encourages them to pursue their dreams.”
EECU’s sponsorship reflects the credit union’s ongoing commitment to supporting education and strengthening the communities it serves. Visit myEECU.org to learn more about EECU’s community initiatives.
