Tinker Federal Credit Union mobilizes disaster relief following Enid tornado

ENID, OK (April 27, 2026) |

Tinker Federal Credit Union (TFCU) is responding to the tornado that struck the Enid area and Vance Air Force Base on the evening of April 23, 2026, with community donations, on-the-ground support for those impacted and a disaster relief 0% APR* loan program.

TFCU has activated a disaster relief program for members who may have been impacted. Available  options include 0% APR* interest loans of up to $4,000 for qualifying members and other financial relief measures designed to help cover immediate expenses such as insurance deductibles, essential repairs and emergency needs. Members in the affected area will be contacted by email with details on the program. Additional information is available through TFCU branch staff or by calling 405-732- 0324 option 6, or 1-800-456-4828 option 6.

The TFCU Enid branch is open and operating as usual. The Vance AFB branch remains temporarily closed as access to the installation is evaluated, and a full on-site inspection of both locations will be conducted once roads reopen and conditions allow.

Beyond member relief, TFCU's community team is mobilizing supplies for disaster relief at the Chisholm Trail Expo Center and has donated $10,000 to the Enid United Way to support recovery efforts. TFCU is coordinating parts of its response with Communication Federal Credit Union, which also serves the Enid community. The partnership reflects a shared commitment between Oklahoma  credit unions to show up for their communities when it matters most, living out the credit union philosophy of people helping people.

TFCU has served Oklahomans since 1946 with a mission of helping members achieve their goals and realize their dreams by supporting the communities where they work and live. As part of that  commitment, TFCU continues to provide resources and relief during times of hardship.
