Manish Nathwani, SHAZAM SVP, Enterprise Product & Marketing, was presented with the 2025 Immigrant Spirit Award from Immigrant Entrepreneurs Summit at their 18th Annual National Immigrant Entrepreneurs Summit on Saturday Nov. 15 in Ankeny, Iowa.
The award recognizes a first-generation immigrant who has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to professional business excellence and altruistic pursuits whose accomplishments and contributions have broad and substantial positive impact on the immigrant and larger community.
With over three decades of distinguished experience in the payments industry, Manish is dedicated to forging impactful partnerships with stakeholders and solution providers across the payments and banking sectors. Drawing upon a deep well of technological expertise and business insight, he consistently delivers innovative, value-driven solutions to the marketplace.
Outside of work, Manish served as the president of the Indo-American Association of Iowa for 10 years. The IAAI is a non-profit organization formed by a small group of Indian-Americans in 1973. IAAI is one of the largest associations of Indian community within the Des Moines metro area and Iowa. The group’s goal is to promote India, its heritage and host community events to introduce Asian Indian American culture to fellow Iowans. They do this by hosting cultural, charitable and social functions as well as other services for the community. The association and the Indian citizens of Iowa have been recognized for contributions to the Iowan way of life by the Governor of Iowa.
Born in South Africa, his family moved to the United Kingdom before Manish immigrated to the United States. He lives in Iowa with his wife and two children.
