Every child deserves a cuddly friend by their side during a hospital visit. With the generosity of its members, Horizon Federal Credit Union is proud to announce the continued success of their tradition providing that colorful companion through the annual Hedgies for Hospitals campaign.
Through the campaign, Horizon members were invited to donate $20 in exchange for a plush “Hedgie” to take home. For every Hedgie purchased by a member, Horizon donated an additional Hedgie to pediatric units at local hospitals—doubling the impact of each contribution.
This year, the campaign resulted in the donation of 120 Hedgies to UPMC Williamsport Hospital, ensuring that children undergoing treatment receive a comforting companion during their hospital stay.
