RENO, NV (May 29, 2026) |
United Federal Credit Union (United) recently celebrated the grand re-opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for its Summit Branch, marking its transition from a loan office to a full-service branch. The event highlighted United’s continued investment in Northern Nevada and its commitment to expanding access to financial services for local members.
The Summit Branch, located at 13989 S. Virginia St., Reno, NV 89511, now offers a full range of products and services, allowing members to manage their financial needs in one convenient location. The re-opening represents an important milestone in United’s growth throughout the region.
“Our Summit Branch represents our continued investment in Northern Nevada and our commitment to meeting members where they are,” said Meredith Williams, Nevada Regional Vice President. “This grand reopening reflects our focus on creating welcoming spaces, strengthening community partnerships, and ensuring our members have access to the trusted financial support they need to thrive.”
United remains committed to supporting the communities it serves through accessible financial services, local partnerships, and continued branch investments.
“As this region continues to grow, it’s important that we grow alongside our members and communities,” said Brook Sweeting, Senior Market Development Manager. “The Summit Branch allows us to deepen relationships, expand our impact, and continue delivering on our promise to serve members with care, connection, and purpose.”
Looking ahead, United will celebrate 10 years of serving the Carson City community on Tuesday, June 16, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at its Carson North branch, located at 1350 E William St., Carson City, NV 89701.
The event will feature local nonprofit Food for Thought, with food donations being collected in advance and at the event to support the organization’s efforts to fight childhood hunger. Community members are encouraged to bring donations to either the Carson North or Carson South branches leading up to the celebration or on the day of the mixer. The event is proudly co-hosted by the Carson City Chamber of Commerce, Food for Thought, and United.
