Coastal Credit Union has hired Allison Liston as its new Vice President of Legal and Compliance. She will lead the development and execution of Coastal’s legal and compliance strategy, supporting the credit union’s strategic goals while helping identify, assess, and mitigate legal and reputational risk.
In this role, Liston will oversee the vendor management and procurement functions and provide legal and compliance guidance across the organization. Her responsibilities include negotiating and reviewing vendor and software agreements, analyzing changes in regulatory requirements, advising leadership and business units on legal and compliance matters, supporting corporate governance, and ensuring policies and procedures align with applicable federal and state laws.
Liston brings more than nine years of experience providing legal and compliance counsel within the financial services industry. Most recently, she served as Vice President of Legal Services at Civic Federal Credit Union, where she led legal functions, advised executive leadership on complex legal and reputational risks, supported large-scale member system conversions, and played a key role in vendor management, contract negotiations, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
