Dover, DE (June 4, 2026) |

At the business meeting for the MDDC CUA, Del-One's Board Chair Emeritus Nancy Shevock was awarded the Volunteer of the Year award. This award honors a credit union volunteer who “best represents the credit union spirit through dedication, belief in the credit union movement, and active involvement in local and state credit unions and community activities”.

Nancy joined Del-One’s Board of Directors in 2003, bringing with her a deep commitment to service that quickly made an impact. In 2010, she stepped into the role of Board Chair, where she led with both strength and compassion. Throughout her time in this role, Nancy faced her share of challenges and tough decisions, but she guided the Board with steady leadership, grace, and an unwavering dedication to Del-One’s mission.

Thanks to her vision and perseverance, the credit union experienced a remarkable decade of growth and success. Even after retiring from the Board in 2020, Nancy’s connection to Del-One has remained as strong as ever. She continues to stay involved as Board Chair Emeritus, attending meetings and showing her support at community events.

Del-One’s President & CEO Dan McCarthy states: “Nancy’s hard work, deep knowledge, and unwavering dedication have made a lasting impact. She consistently goes above and beyond, not for recognition, but because she genuinely cares about the work we do, the members we serve and the teammates who make it all possible. No one deserves this award more than Nancy Shevock.”

Nancy’s impact on Del-One is truly immeasurable. Through the countless hours she has given, along with her wisdom, generosity, and genuine care for others, she has helped shape Del-One into the exceptional organization it is today.
