Austin Telco Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce the appointment of Grant Williams as the Vice President of Commercial Banking.
Grant began working for the Southwestern Bell Telephone company in 1999 as part of their Leadership Development Program where he managed a large call center, developed their broadband DSL product for ASI, and oversaw cost cutting initiatives on their finance team.
He started his career in banking in 2003 as a Retail Banker for Wells Fargo. He quickly moved to management and led teams in building successful new operations through the Austin Market. Most recently Grant successfully built the Treasury Services team at Southside Bank, a large Tyler-based Community Bank. Over the past 10 years, he helped facilitate significant growth, with total assets increasing from $4.5 million to over $8.5 million. Grant was promoted to Treasury Sales Manager where he led the DFW, Houston, and Austin teams in achieving significant market reach and revenue growth.
He currently serves on two non-profit boards: AGE of Central Texas, an organization that helps older adults and their caregivers thrive and Northwest Austin Little Miss Kickball, a league focused on providing organized sports programs for young women.
Grant holds a double Bachelors Degree in Management and International Business from Baylor University.
