Skyline Financial Federal Credit Union promotes Benjamyn Frye to Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President

Waterbury, CT (June 11, 2026) |

Skyline Financial Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce the promotion of Benjamyn Frye to Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Executive Vice President, a key leadership position that will further strengthen the organization's operational excellence and commitment to exceptional member service.

In his new role, Frye will oversee the credit union's day-to-day operations, including retail, financial, and lending functions. He will collaborate closely with senior leadership across these areas to drive efficiency, innovation, and consistent service delivery throughout the organization.

Since joining Skyline Financial Federal Credit Union in April 2022, Frye has made a significant and immediate impact. He has successfully led several transformative initiatives, including the conversion of the credit union's core banking system, enhancements to online and mobile banking platforms, and the completion of two mergers with Skyline as the continuing institution.

During Frye's tenure, Skyline has experienced significant growth while modernizing its technology infrastructure, strengthening operational controls, and expanding its ability to serve members throughout its field of membership. Additionally, Frye has played a key role in strengthening the organization's operational framework by enhancing compliance, internal support systems, and safety and soundness practices.

“Ben is more than a team member, he is an invaluable resource to our entire organization,” said James A. Higgins, President and CEO. “He has built strong relationships with both our members and team, and he continues to demonstrate exceptional leadership.”

Higgins added, “I am proud of Ben and excited to continue working alongside him as we build on Skyline's strong foundation and position the credit union for continued growth and success.”

Frye's promotion reflects Skyline's ongoing commitment to developing strong leadership from within and delivering outstanding value to its members.

“I am honored by the trust James, our Board of Directors, and the Skyline team have placed in me,” said Frye. “Over the past four years, we have accomplished a tremendous amount together, from technology modernization and organizational growth to strengthening the foundation of the credit union for the future. I look forward to continuing to work alongside our dedicated staff and leadership team as we focus on delivering exceptional service, supporting our members, and building on Skyline's long-term success.”

Frye will continue to report directly to President and CEO James A. Higgins and will play a key role in advancing Skyline's strategic initiatives, operational excellence, and member-focused growth objectives.
