Horizon Credit Union announced plans for an extensive remodel of its Orchard branch, located at 910 N Orchard St, with construction beginning in late August. The project includes selective demolition and construction of a new facility designed to improve functionality and member service.
The branch will be temporarily closed as of Aug. 1 and is expected to reopen in early 2027. During this time, members may continue to access services through other branch locations and digital banking channels.
“The Orchard branch has always been an important part of our story, and this remodel is about building on that connection,” said Brian Grytdal, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Facilities. “As we get ready for the remodel, we’re thinking about how this space can better support the people who rely on us every day. It’s exciting to take this next step and create an environment that feels welcoming, modern and centered around our members.”
Upon completion, the remodeled branch will include the following features:
- Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs) providing extended service hours from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- A multi-lane drive-up area designed to increase transaction capacity
- An expanded lobby area to accommodate in-branch traffic
- Private meeting spaces for financial consultations
This project is a total interior and exterior remodel consisting of approximately 4,000 sq ft.
