Connexus Credit Union hosts July Food Supply Drive in honor America’s 250th anniversary

Wausau, WI (June 29, 2026) |

Connexus Credit Union is inviting members and the community to help celebrate America’s 250th anniversary by giving back. Throughout the month of July, Connexus will host a Food Supply Drive as part of its Connexus Cares philanthropic program, with a goal of collecting 250 canned food items to support local food pantries.

Connexus members and community members alike are encouraged to participate by dropping off canned food donations at their nearest branch. Items such as canned vegetables, fruits, soups, and other shelf-stable goods will help provide support to individuals and families facing food insecurity in the communities Connexus serves.

All donations collected during the drive will be distributed to local food pantries, helping fight hunger and provide critical resources to those in need.

“This initiative is a meaningful way to honor our nation’s history while making a positive impact locally,” said Laura Huggins, Senior Vice President of Marketing. “We’re proud to bring our members and communities together to celebrate 250 years of freedom through generosity, compassion, and collective action.”

The Food Supply Drive will run July 1 through July 31 at select Connexus branches. As participation varies by location, individuals are encouraged to contact their local branch before dropping off donations. To find a nearby branch location and hours, visit ConnexusCU.org/about/branch-and-atm-locations.

As part of its Connexus Cares commitment, Connexus encourages everyone to join in the effort and help reach the goal of 250 canned items, because together, small acts of giving can make a big difference.
