Consumers Credit Union announces new hires and leadership transition across multiple markets

Kalamazoo, MI (July 9, 2026) |

Consumers is pleased to announce several team updates: the transition of Keith Wright to municipal relationship manager, the additions of Zulema Roa as a mortgage loan officer and Amy McNamara as a commercial loan officer, and the hire of Molly Phan as office manager at the upcoming Saugatuck/Douglas location.

Keith Wright transitions into his new role after serving as an office manager at the Delta Crossing location in the Lansing market, where he built strong relationships with both personal and business members. In his new position, Wright will focus on supporting municipal members by ensuring their accounts and services run smoothly, providing responsive support, and partnering with internal teams to deliver efficient solutions.

“I enjoy being in a position where I can truly help people and make a difference for our members and their financial future,” said Wright.

A lifelong Lansing-area resident, Wright is deeply involved in his community, including work with the Grand Ledge Area Chamber of Commerce, Friends of Grand Ledge, Delta Township Kiwanis and the Corridor Improvement Authority Board in Delta Township. His commitment to community engagement and relationship-building makes him a strong addition to Consumers’ municipal services team.

Consumers also welcomes Zulema Roa to the mortgage team as a mortgage loan officer. Roa brings experience in guiding members through the home lending process, including originating a variety of loan types and supporting borrowers from application through closing. As a bilingual professional and a member of local groups, she is passionate about making the mortgage process accessible and comfortable for Spanish-speaking members and the broader community.

In her role, Roa will assist members with prequalification, documentation and mortgage solutions tailored to their individual needs while helping make the path to homeownership more accessible and straightforward.

“I love being in a position where I can truly help people,” said Roa. “Whether it’s answering questions or helping families achieve homeownership, knowing I’ve made a positive impact is what makes this work so meaningful.”

Molly Phan joins Consumers as office manager of the Saugatuck/Douglas office, bringing 26 years of financial industry experience across teller, banker, assistant manager, mortgage loan officer and branch manager roles, including 14 years in leadership. In her new role, Phan will oversee office performance and growth while engaging local businesses and leading the team toward individual and office goals.

“I love getting to know members individually and help guide them toward banking solutions that truly work for their unique everyday lives,” said Phan. “Helping each member understand and feel confident about their financial future is what motivates me most.”

A longtime volunteer in her local community, Phan has supported organizations including Tulip Time, Habitat for Humanity and Harbor Humane.

Amy McNamara joins Consumers’ business services department as a commercial loan officer. McNamara brings more than 25 years of senior commercial banking experience, including managing multimillion-dollar loan and deposit portfolios and leading business development teams at financial institutions in the Lansing market. In her role, she will focus on business development, relationship management and credit analysis for commercial members.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue doing what I enjoy most: building relationships, helping members’ businesses grow and providing solutions that make an impact,” said McNamara.

McNamara is active in community leadership, including board roles with Athena Wins and Junior Achievement of Mid-Michigan. She also co-created Aspiring Leaders, a networking and mentorship initiative for women.

Consumers continues to invest in both internal talent and new team members who share its commitment to service, expertise and building stronger communities.
