Reminder: Still time to register for NCUA’s July training events

Get needed knowledge and skills at Workshops and Leadership Boot Camps

ALEXANDRIA, VA (July 8, 2014) -- The National Credit Union Administration announced today that credit union staff, managers and senior leadership still have time to register for informative training sessions in July, hosted by the Office of Small Credit Union Initiatives.

NCUA will host a training workshop on July 23 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, at the Four Points by Sheraton Pittsburgh North Hotel. Credit unions will have the opportunity to learn from industry leaders and discuss a number of financial operations and strategic management issues, including:

  • Protecting Your Credit Union From the Rising Trend of Employment Practices Lawsuits
  • Marketing in the Digital Age
  • Bank Secrecy Act—Money Services Businesses
  • Examination Modernization
Senior leaders and management can also register for NCUA’s Leadership Boot Camp on July 26 at the Hilton Newark Penn Station Hotel in Newark, New Jersey. This day-long, intensive training program is designed for current, rising and new credit union CEOs. The program features breakout sessions for managers and directors—an excellent way for credit union leaders to network with their peers. Also, boot camp participants will receive OSCUI’s new Credit Union Leadership Resource Guide.
