Cornerstone Community Financial names Steve Flores Vice President of Operations

Cornerstone Community Financial (CCF), a leading community-focused credit union committed to helping its more than 25,000 members in Michigan and Ohio achieve their financial goals, has promoted Steve Flores from Operations Manager to Vice President of Operations.

In his new role, Flores, who joined CCF in 2011 as a Financial Service Representative, is responsible for the development and execution of operational objectives and strategies across the credit union. Flores works with all departments of the credit union to improve products, services and processes for the benefit of members and staff.

“There is nothing better than to watch a new process fall into place that allows our employees to be more efficient, or a new product to launch successfully that excites our members,” said Flores about his new position.

Before becoming Vice President of Operations, Flores has served CCF in a variety of positions. In addition to his starting role as a Financial Service Representative, Flores also has been an Assistant Branch Manager, eBranch Manager and, most recently, Operations Manager.

“It has been a pleasure watching Steve grow along with CCF,” said Heidi Kassab, CCF President and CEO. “His knowledge, skillset, positive attitude and commitment to customer service have lead him to this well-deserved promotion and position.”

Flores is a Michigan native with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Northwood University.  He currently resides in Oxford, Mich. with his wife and three children.  Outside of the office, Flores helps mentor youth as coach/manager of the Oakland A’s travel baseball organization.
