Penn East teams up with BloomCU to build new credit union website design

Penn East Credit Union recently partnered with BloomCU, an award-winning credit union website design agency, to start work on a website redesign. The new website will be built with intelligent technologies and atomic design principles, and present a strong local brand to better serve the existing members of Penn East—and attract thousands of new ones.

Aesthetically, the new design will be sleek, attractive, and exhibit a local flair. The colors, images, and typography will reflect Penn East’s lengthy history and timeless values—the credit union was founded in 1938—while also looking vibrant and modern. Ultimately, the result Penn East and BloomCU are striving for is a digital branch members can come to and expect the same personable service they would get in person.

Beyond looking beautiful, the new credit union website design will also have “brains”, something that BloomCU incorporates into every credit union website they design. First, the site will be completely reorganized using insights from card sorting and usability studies, so that every page on the site is easy to find, no matter what the user is looking for. In addition, BloomCU is adding a real-time search functionality that will make it easier for users to find information.

Another important technological update is BloomCU’s Persona software. Each user who visits the new website will be given a personalized experience based on their past website visits. For example, a user who seems to be interested in auto loans will see more vehicle related content. This will help Penn East in their quest to win more members and gain more loan applicants.
